Sharm El Naga is a sheltered bay south of Safaga where the reef starts right at the beach. There is no boat to take: you walk in, put your face in the water and the coral is there.

The bay is calm on most days, which makes it a good choice for nervous swimmers and children, and for anyone who gets seasick. A guide snorkels with the group and shows the best parts of the reef.

Lunch is served at the beach, and there is plenty of time to swim, snorkel again or relax on a sunbed.
